Follow the Google Business Profile video verification process to ensure your business gets verified efficiently.
Google Business Profile (GBP) video verification is a method used by Google to ensure that businesses listed on its platform are legitimate and operating at the claimed location. The process involves recording and submitting a video that shows key details about your business, such as its physical location, operations, and signage.
Follow the steps below to verify your business.
- Go to Google Business Profile
- Sign in with the Google account that has access to the GBP listing
- When you see the listing, click on Get Verified
- Select Business Video
- Start your recording. The video requirements include capturing all three of the below features in one continuous recording.
- Your location must match your Business Profile address (example: street sign, nearby businesses)
- Your business name and category should match your Business Profile (example: showing the business exterior and interior, products or equipment)
- You're authorized to represent this business (example: unlocking entrance, operating payment tools, proof of address)
- Use the QR Code Google provides in order to record the required video on your phone with your phone camera.
💡 Tips and Tricks
- Use the Google Chrome browser to complete the video verification process.
- Video Length: Record one full video. The video should be 2-3 minutes, no more than 5 minutes.
- Recording Instructions: Start by showing the street sign at the beginning (as Google will also track your location). After that, walk back to the apartment leasing office while recording the surrounding apartment environment, also showing the apartment signage with the business's name, and the building (if possible, unit number or any address information would be helpful). Open the leasing office door (with a key) or provide evidence that the person works there or has access to the business (e.g., entering employee-only areas, using keys to the leasing office, etc.). Walk around the leasing office and apartment community, showing the interior and exterior of the business.
