Use the Site Language feature to change your site's text into a language other than an English.
Set a Default Site Language
If you are building a site in a language other than English, the Site Language feature allows you to translate certain elements into your target language. Simply select your target language and the built-in text on several widgets will be translated into your target language automatically. The widget text has been pre-translated and cannot be customized.
This feature should not be mistaken for the Multi-Language feature, which translates all text on the site using Google Translate. When Multi-Language is enabled, the default site language is set automatically, the Site Language tab will be inactive, and changes to the default language must be set via the Multi-Language feature.
To configure your site language:
- In the left panel, click Settings, and then click Site Language.
- Select a language. The languages offered include:
Dutch | Italian |
English | Turkish |
English (UK) | Portuguese |
French | Spanish (LATAM) |
German | Spanish (Spain) |

- This feature only translates the texts listed above. These texts cannot be edited.
- Some widgets allow you to select a widget language in the Content Editor (for example, Business Hours, Cookie Notifications). If you selected a language for the widgets, they will remain in the selected language until you change the Site Language.
