How to Transfer Facebook Page Ownership
Are you transitioning property to or from your management? Here's how to transfer Facebook page ownership.
The most efficient way is to first make the new owner an Admin’ on your Page. Then, remove yourself as Admin.
- On your computer, sign in to your admin account
- You can go to your business
- In the left menu, click Settings
- Accessed page via Facebook Business Manager - Settings is in the top right of your Facebook Page screen
- Accessed page via Facebook - Settings is on the left menu
- In the left menu, click Page Roles.
- Assign a New Page Role - Type whom you want to transfer your Facebook page to.
- If the new admin requested access to the Facebook Page go to Invites
- Click Accept on the page admin invite.
- To the right of their name, Select Admin in the dropdown.
- Select Add
- Next, you need to remove your account from the Page Roles list.
- Click on the admin you want to remove, select Remove, under the admin’s name.
- Complete this step after you have given them admin access
- You have successfully transferred the ownership of the Facebook page
