Why Are Special Offer Pop-ups No Longer Offered in Multihub?

Learn about the Special Offer Widget and why we use it instead of special offer pop-ups.

REPLI has opted to retire special offer pop-ups from our Multihub offerings in order to create the most SEO-friendly experience possible for our customers. Pop-ups and push-down bars are against Google’s SEO best practices, so REPLI developed the Special Offer Widget for our customers. This widget is SEO-friendly and allows our customers the ability to update the special offer content at any time.

 

After careful study, we have found pop-ups to be detrimental to SEO and site performance in the long run. Sites that utilize pop-ups tend to have higher bounce rates, less time on page, fewer pages visited, and decreased organic performance.

 

There are rare occasions when we do recommend pop-ups, such as severe weather or important property announcements. However, for specials and regular updates, we've found pop-ups to be detrimental to renter digital journey.
